We are looking for a Credit Controller to join our finance team based in Southwest London. Working alongside an experienced finance team, you’ll take ownership of customer accounts, helping to ensure payments are received on time while delivering an excellent level of customer service. This position would suit someone with previous credit control or accounts receivable experience, although candidates with strong administration or customer service backgrounds and an interest in finance are also encouraged to apply.

The Role As Credit Controller, you’ll play an important part in maintaining an efficient accounts receivable function by managing customer accounts, reducing aged debt and resolving account queries in a professional and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of customer accounts and maintain accurate sales ledger records. Contact customers by telephone and email to collect outstanding payments. Allocate incoming payments and ensure customer accounts are updated accurately. Investigate and resolve invoice, payment and account queries. Carry out customer credit checks and assist with reviewing credit limits. Reconcile customer accounts and support bank reconciliations where required.

Prepare customer statements, reports and other finance documentation. Assist with month-end accounts receivable activities. Build positive relationships with customers while maintaining a professional approach to collections. Work closely with colleagues across the finance department to support daily operations. About You You’ll ideally have:
Previous experience within Credit Control, Accounts Receivable or a similar finance role. Strong communication and negotiation skills. A proactive approach with the ability to manage your own workload. Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail. Confidence using Microsoft Excel and finance software. The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment. A professional and customer-focused attitude.
