Role Description The Cost Controller is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the resort’s cost structure to support profitability and operational efficiency. This full-time, on-site role, based in Denpasar, involves monitoring daily purchasing, inventory, and consumption, and ensuring that all cost-related transactions are accurately recorded. The Cost Controller prepares and analyzes cost reports, supports monthly closing activities, and collaborates with the Finance and Operations teams to identify variances and recommend corrective actions. The role includes reviewing supplier prices, verifying cost allocations, supporting menu engineering and pricing decisions, and ensuring compliance with internal control procedures and brand standards. The Cost Controller also assists in forecasting, budgeting, and ongoing cost improvement initiatives across the resort.

Qualifications

  • Strong cost control and cost management skills, with experience in monitoring expenses and optimizing resource usage.
  • Solid cost accounting and finance knowledge, including familiarity with hotel or hospitality financial procedures.
  • Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and present clear, actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., MS Excel, accounting or ERP systems) and comfort working with numerical data and reports.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Previous experience in hospitality or a similar service industry is highly beneficial.
  • Strong attention to detail, integrity in handling financial information, and commitment to internal controls and compliance.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams on-site.
