We are partnering with a growing Critical Access Hospital in the Pacific Northwest to identify an experienced Controller to join its finance leadership team.

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys both the technical aspects of healthcare accounting and partnering with operational leaders to improve financial performance. The Controller will lead a small accounting team while helping strengthen financial processes, enhance labor management reporting, support board reporting, and ensure accurate and timely financial information for decision-making.

Position Highlights

  • Report directly to the CFO
  • Lead a team of 3 finance professionals
  • Support the opening of a new Infusion Center
  • Drive optimization of budgeting and financial reporting systems

    • Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee general accounting, payroll, accounts payable, treasury, and cash management
  • Maintain the general ledger and support month-end and year-end close
  • Lead financial reporting, budgeting, variance analysis, and audit support
  • Improve labor management, FTE reporting, and productivity analytics
  • Partner with operational leaders to strengthen financial performance and reporting
  • Support capital projects, cost reports, and strategic financial initiative

    • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field, required
  • CPA, preferred
  • 5+ years of healthcare finance or accounting experience, required
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, budgeting, financial reporting, and audits
  • Critical Access Hospital or rural healthcare experience highly, preferred
