We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team and oversee the financial health of our organization.
Job Summary:
The Controller will be responsible for managing all accounting operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic financial insights to support business decisions. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented financial expert with a strong background in corporate finance, accounting, and financial planning. This role offers an exciting opportunity to grow into a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) position within 3-5 years for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards for multiple operating and holding companies.
Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance operational efficiency.
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
Supervise accounting staff and ensure timely reporting of financial data.
Coordinate and lead audits, both internal and external liaison with auditors.
Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.
Monitor cash flow and develop strategies for optimizing financial performance.
Analyze financial data to provide strategic recommendations to senior management.
Collaborate with other departments to support overall business growth and operational effectiveness.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting or financial management role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
Proficiency in Quick Books online
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in the financial services industry is an asset.
