Title: Controller
Location: Providence, RI (3 days in office)
Salary: $110,000-$150,000 + Bonus

Key Responsibilities for the Controller
- Fully own the monthly and year end close process, ensuring accuracy, structure, and timeliness
- Support audits and Form 990 preparation in partnership with the CFO
- Lead, mentor, and organize a finance team of approximately 11, including managers and senior staff
- Oversee accounting operations including AP, AR, payroll support, and financial reporting
Qualifications for the Controller
- Strong nonprofit accounting experience is required
- Hands on experience supporting audits and 990 filings
- Proven management experience leading multi layer accounting teams
- Demonstrated ownership of the full month end close process
Nice to Have Experience
- Medical or behavioral health billing exposure
- Payroll experience, including multi state environments
- Experience managing multiple funding and revenue streams
- AP modernization, process improvement, or ERP implementation experience
