Controller

You’ll work closely with ownership to provide financial insights, strengthen internal controls, and create the infrastructure needed to support a growing organization.
You’ll oversee accounting and financial reporting across multiple entities, consolidate P&Ls, manage WIP accounting, and develop efficient, scalable processes that evolve alongside the business. Success in this role requires someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves while also thinking strategically and who can balance day-to-day execution with long-term planning.

What You Will Do:
- Lead accounting operations across multiple business entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.
- Design, implement, and continuously improve financial systems, workflows, and internal controls that support growth and scalability.
- Manage and develop accounting team members, ensuring work accuracy, timely deadline adherence, and consistent application of accounting best practices.
- Preparation and consolidation of Profit & Loss statements across multiple companies.
- Manage and reconcile WIP accounts, ensuring accurate job costing and revenue recognition.
- Drive the month-end and year-end close processes, delivering timely and meaningful financial reporting to leadership.
- Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning.
- Collaborate closely with project managers and operations teams to ensure financial performance aligns with project execution.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external accountants, auditors, banks, and other financial partners.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and other applicable financial reporting requirements.
What You Will Bring:
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.
- Five or more years of experience as a Controller.
- Experience managing accounting and financial reporting across multiple business entities, including P&L consolidation.
- Strong knowledge of WIP accounting, job costing, and revenue recognition.
- A proven ability to build, streamline, and improve accounting processes, systems, and internal controls.
- Current proficiency with QuickBooks Online.
- Experience managing team members.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- A hands-on approach, strong attention to detail, and a desire to help build scalable financial operations in a growing company.
Pay: $92,731.32 – $111,676.42 per year
