About the Opportunity

A well-established, global SaaS and hardware product company is seeking a highly skilled, hands-on Controller to lead its financial operations. This is a discrete, critical hire for a standalone function role, reporting directly to top management.

  • Position Type: Full-time (100%)
  • Location: Remote / Hybrid (Israel)
  • Reporting to: CFO / VP Finance
  • Management: Managing a team of an Assistant Controller and 2 Bookkeepers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Leadership: Oversee all corporate accounting operations, including global consolidation, financial reporting, and month/year-end closing processes.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team (Assistant Controller and Bookkeeping staff), ensuring operational accuracy and professional growth.
  • Revenue Recognition: Own and execute complex revenue recognition policies under ASC 606, specifically tailored for hybrid SaaS and Hardware business models.
  • Systems & Optimization: Maximize the utilization of NetSuite, driving financial system implementations, automations, and process optimizations.
  • Compliance & Audit: Ensure strict compliance with US GAAP, manage tax filings across global subsidiaries, and lead the annual audit process with external auditors.
  • Budgeting & Analysis: Partner with management on budget preparation, cash flow forecasting, and providing deep analytical insights to support strategic decisions.

Requirements

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • CPA with Big 4 experience – A must.
  • 3–4 years of experience as a Controller or Assistant Controller within a global tech company (Software/Hardware industry experience – mandatory).
  • Deep knowledge of US GAAP with proven expertise in ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition) – a significant advantage/must.
  • High proficiency in NetSuite (ERP) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Proven leadership experience: Demonstrated track record of managing, mentoring, and scaling bookkeeping/accounting staff.
  • Fluent English (both written and verbal) – working environment is entirely global.
