Position Summary:
The Finance Manager will oversee all aspects of financial management, including bookkeeping, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. This part-time role has the opportunity to transition into a full-time position in the coming quarters.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping records.
Manage and reconcile accounts in QuickBooks, including invoicing, expenses, payroll, and reporting.
Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts to ensure financial stability and growth.
Create financial models to support decision-making, budgeting, and strategic planning.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Collaborate with leadership to develop budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
Recommend and implement improvements in financial processes and controls.
Support external accountants during tax season and audits.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Finance Manager, Bookkeeper, or similar role (preferably in a service-based or construction-related industry).
Proficiency with QuickBooks Online (QB ProAdvisor certification is a plus).
Strong bookkeeping skills with an excellent understanding of GAAP principles.
Expertise in financial modeling, planning, and cash flow management.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience in the plumbing, HVAC, or construction industry is highly valued.
