At CPGIO, we partner with leading consumer brands to drive growth across major eCommerce platforms like Amazon and Walmart. We specialize in managing pricing, trade funding, and promotional investments to optimize margin performance and ensure financial accuracy across large-scale product catalogs.

We are seeking a hands-on Controller to lead our accounting operations and ensure the integrity of all financial reporting. This role owns the full financial close process, GAAP-compliant reporting, and day-to-day accounting functions including GL, inventory, AP/AR, and cash management. You’ll also play a key role in improving systems and processes, including supporting our NetSuite ERP implementation and optimization.

You will partner closely with executive leadership, build scalable financial processes, and help shape the accounting function as the business continues to grow.

You will also work alongside our current Controller during a planned transition through 2027, ensuring strong knowledge transfer and continuity.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the monthly and annual close process with accurate, timely financial reporting
  • Ensure GAAP compliance and maintain a clean, reconciled general ledger
  • Oversee inventory accounting, COGS, AP/AR, and cash management
  • Manage sales tax compliance using Avalara
  • Support audits and external reporting requirements
  • Lead or support NetSuite implementation and process improvements
  • Improve accounting workflows across systems (QuickBooks + integrated tools)
  • Partner with leadership to provide financial insights and decision support
  • Help build and develop the accounting team

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of accounting/finance experience (Controller or senior accounting role preferred)
  • Strong GAAP knowledge and full-cycle close experience
  • Experience in inventory-heavy, e-commerce, distribution, or product-based businesses
  • Hands-on experience with AP, AR, GL, and financial reporting
  • NetSuite and QuickBooks experience required
  • Strong Excel skills
  • ERP implementation experience is a plus
  • CPA preferred but not required

  • $100,000 – $130,000 base salary (based on experience)
