Chesapeake Search Partners is partnering with our client to identify a Corporate Controller. This role will guide financial decision-making by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing accounting policies and procedures. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, this individual will play a key role in supporting business growth as the organization continues to expand.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all accounting operations, including billing, AR/AP, GL, POC and inventory accounting, and revenue recognition
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including the timely preparation and issuance of financial statements
- Support budgeting and forecasting efforts, analyze variances, and track performance against budgets
- Establish and maintain internal controls to protect assets and ensure accurate financial reporting
- Perform financial analysis, including consolidations and key operating metrics, to support strategic decision-making
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, systems, and overall cost effectiveness
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Multi-entity experience required
- Construction or project-based accounting experience strongly preferred
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- CPA preferred
