Overview
A well‑known consumer packaged goods organization that is expanding its finance function and creating a new Commercial Finance Manager role. This position will sit within a broader FP&A and operational finance group and play a critical role partnering with sales, marketing, and operations to drive improved financial performance, ROI, and decision‑making across products and commercial initiatives.
This is a newly created role with real opportunity to build, influence, and help shape how commercial finance is executed across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner closely with sales, marketing, and operations on commercial finance initiatives tied to pricing, promotions, trade spend, and product profitability
- Analyze and evaluate ROI on commercial investments and promotional spend, providing clear insights and recommendations
- Support forecasting, budgeting, and planning activities related to commercial performance
- Develop financial models and analyses to support new products, go‑to‑market strategies, and growth initiatives
- Help build out scalable commercial finance processes, tools, and reporting as the organization continues to grow
- Present insights and recommendations to finance leadership and business partners in a clear, actionable manner
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in a commercial finance role within a CPG organization
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Strong understanding of pricing, promotions, trade spend, and product economics in a CPG environment
- Advanced financial modeling, analytical, and business partnering skills
- Self‑starter mindset with interest in building, improving, and creating new processes
- Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional stakeholders
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $130,000 – $170,000
- Annual bonus opportunity of approximately 10%

Work Environment
- Fully onsite role located in the near Chicago suburbs
- Very manageable hours with minimal late nights or weekend work
