Job Summary
The Director of Finance shall be the primary force behind executing the Company’s acquisition modeling and risk management strategies, as set by the CFO, and support certain marketing, hedging, financial compliance, and financial reporting responsibilities at QB Energy. Additionally, the Director of Finance will perform ad hoc financial analysis of investment decisions and capital structure scenarios and play a key role in managing the presentations and communication of the bank and board of managers. The position will support the Chief Financial Officer as requested occasionally.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Manage all leveraged financial models for acquisitions
Perform financial analysis for operational and internal decision-making around company projects
Interface and supply equity and debt stakeholders with required materials, models, and sensitivities for their internal approvals
Manage and report on all insurance and risk management activities in the company
Compile, analyze, and report on operational accounting data as requested or directed by management and operations staff
Manage and maintain comparable public company statistics
Maintain credit reviews on major credit counterparties
Other Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in the execution of the company’s hedging strategies
Assist in the creation of annual budgets
Assist in the assembly of all corporate investor materials, including materials for quarterly board of managers meetings
Assist with monthly reporting of financial results
Assist in compliance with all credit facility reporting
Assist in tracking and reporting on all derivatives
Assist in the monitoring and review of the company’s IT services
Qualifications
Education
Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
Master’s or MBA preferred
Specialized knowledge
Proficient in MS Office software applications, specifically MS Excel
Proficient use of accounting and engineering software, including ComboCurve, Aires, BOLO, etc.
Knowledge and experience with GAAP
Skills & Abilities
High level of organizational skills
Flexibility to work overtime as required
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to think creatively in solving business problems
Ability to work with frequent interruptions
Sensitivity to confidential matters
Ability to make independent decisions/judgments about work priorities
Industry Experience
Investment banking and/or private equity experience required·
Oil and gas company experience required
