Executive Summary

The Chief Strategy Officer is responsible for the development and execution of the firm’s long-term corporate strategy. You will act as a high-level advisor to the CEO and Board, identifying new market opportunities, evaluating competitive threats, and overseeing transformative initiatives. Your goal is to ensure the firm’s business model remains resilient in the face of technological shifts, regulatory changes, and evolving client behaviors.

C-Suite Responsibilities

Corporate Strategy Development: Lead the annual strategic planning process. Define the firm’s “Right to Win” in specific segments (e.g., Private Banking, Institutional Asset Management, or Retail Fintech).

M&A and Partnerships: Identify and evaluate potential acquisition targets, joint ventures, or strategic ventures. Oversee the financial modeling and due diligence for multi-billion dollar transactions.

Market Intelligence: Monitor the global macroeconomic environment and the "Fintech vs. Incumbent" landscape. Provide the executive team with deep-dive analysis on competitor moves and emerging technologies (AI, Blockchain, CBDCs).

Innovation & R&D: Drive the firm’s innovation agenda. Oversee internal venture funds or “Sandboxes” designed to test new financial products and business models.

Strategic Execution (PMO Oversight): While the CSO designs the plan, they also ensure it is implemented. You will work with the COO to ensure the operating model supports the strategic vision.

ESG & Sustainability Integration: Incorporate Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria into the core business strategy, ensuring the firm meets global sustainability benchmarks and investor expectations.
