Chief Operating Officer (COO) 

I. Position Overview

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for overseeing the company's daily operations, driving strategic execution, optimizing organizational performance, and ensuring sustainable business growth.

The COO serves as the primary executive responsible for translating corporate strategy into operational excellence. Working closely with the CEO and Board of Directors, the COO ensures that all departments operate efficiently, resources are effectively allocated, and business objectives are achieved.

This role requires exceptional leadership, operational expertise, organizational development capabilities, and experience managing complex, high-growth organizations.

II. Key Responsibilities

Strategic Execution

Partner with the CEO and executive leadership team to develop and implement corporate strategies.

Translate strategic objectives into operational plans and measurable business outcomes.

Monitor organizational performance and ensure alignment with long-term business goals.

Identify opportunities for business expansion, operational improvement, and revenue growth.

Operational Leadership

Lead and oversee the company's day-to-day operations across all business units.

Establish operational policies, procedures, and performance standards.

Drive operational excellence and continuous process improvement initiatives.

Ensure efficient coordination among departments to maximize productivity and effectiveness.

Organizational Management

Build, lead, and mentor high-performing management teams.

Develop scalable organizational structures and operational frameworks.

Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and performance.

Support talent development, succession planning, and leadership growth.

Financial & Performance Management

Collaborate with the CFO to oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics.

Drive profitability, cost optimization, and resource allocation initiatives.

Ensure operational decisions support long-term financial objectives.

Risk Management & Compliance

Establish and maintain effective risk management and internal control systems.

Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory, legal, and corporate governance requirements.

Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies.

Stakeholder & Partnership Management

Support investor relations, strategic partnerships, and business development initiatives.

Represent the company in meetings with key stakeholders, partners, and clients.

Assist in mergers, acquisitions, and strategic growth opportunities.

III. Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.

MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.

Experience

Minimum 20 years of professional experience.

Minimum 20 years of leadership and management experience.

Proven experience in senior leadership positions such as COO, CEO, President, Managing Director, Executive Vice President, General Manager, or equivalent.

Demonstrated success leading large-scale operations and cross-functional teams.

Experience in fintech, financial services, technology, digital assets, cryptocurrency, or high-growth industries is highly desirable.
