Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Investment Support

  • Work with the CEO and investment committee to define and execute the firm’s long‑term strategy, including product development, market expansion, and strategic partnerships or acquisitions.
  • Evaluate and execute strategic investments, co‑investments, or joint ventures, bringing a disciplined control and governance perspective to the deal process.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the investment team on operational risk, control design, and post‑investment governance.

Internal Control & Internal Audit

  • Design, implement, and continuously enhance the firm’s internal control framework, ensuring it meets regulatory standards and best practices for quantitative asset managers.
  • Lead internal audit function, including risk‑based audit planning, execution of operational and financial audits, and direct remediation of identified control gaps.
  • Establish clear segregation of duties, approval workflows, and monitoring mechanisms for trading, settlement, fund accounting, and investor reporting.
  • Oversee periodic control self‑assessments and coordinate with external auditors and regulators on audit matters.

Operational Management

  • Oversee day‑to‑day operations including legal & compliance, finance, HR, IT infrastructure, and office administration.
  • Drive operational efficiency through automation, vendor management, and process re‑engineering.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure robust compliance with CSRC, AMAC, PBOC, and other relevant regulations (fund filing, AML, data protection, cross‑border rules).
  • Manage operational risk and business continuity planning, including disaster recovery for trading systems.

Investor & Stakeholder Relations

  • Act as a key point of contact for institutional investors, overseeing fund operations, capital introductions, and investor reporting.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with regulators and external partners.

Talent & Culture

  • Lead and develop the non‑investment teams (operations, finance, compliance, HR, admin), fostering a high‑integrity, control‑conscious culture.
  • Partner with HR on talent development, compensation, and succession planning.
