Role Description
Lead the organization's financial strategy, governance, and overall financial performance by providing executive leadership across accounting, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), treasury, taxation, corporate finance, investor relations, and enterprise risk management. This executive role is responsible for developing long-term financial strategies, optimizing capital allocation, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering sustainable profitability while supporting business growth and shareholder value. The successful candidate will collaborate with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Board of Directors, executive leadership team, investors, auditors, financial institutions, regulators, and cross-functional business leaders to drive strategic decision-making through financial insights and performance analysis. The role also involves overseeing budgeting and forecasting, financial reporting, cash flow management, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), investment analysis, business performance monitoring, financial transformation initiatives, enterprise resource planning (ERP) optimization, artificial intelligence (AI)-driven financial analytics, digital finance modernization, internal controls, corporate governance, and continuous improvements that strengthen financial resilience, operational efficiency, and long-term business success.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Commerce, Business Analytics, or a related field; Master's degree, MBA, or equivalent executive qualification is highly desirable.
- Proven executive leadership experience as a Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Finance Director, Finance Executive, VP of Finance, Corporate Controller, Head of Finance, or senior finance leader with enterprise-wide financial management responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of corporate finance, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), financial reporting, treasury management, taxation, budgeting, forecasting, investment analysis, capital structure, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate governance, enterprise risk management, and regulatory compliance.
- Extensive experience leading finance organizations, developing financial strategies, managing multi-million-dollar budgets, improving profitability, optimizing cash flow, overseeing audits, managing investor relations, supporting fundraising activities, and driving enterprise financial transformation initiatives.
- Expertise in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), financial consolidation, statutory reporting, internal controls, compliance frameworks, and audit management.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise financial systems including SAP S/4HANA, Oracle ERP Cloud, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance, Workday Financial Management, NetSuite, Hyperion, OneStream, Anaplan, Power BI, Tableau, Microsoft Excel, and cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Familiarity with artificial intelligence (AI), Generative AI, robotic process automation (RPA), predictive analytics, financial automation, cloud computing, cybersecurity, ESG reporting, digital transformation, and data-driven finance modernization initiatives is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data, assess business risks, optimize financial performance, evaluate investments, and support executive decision-making through actionable insights.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage board members, investors, financial institutions, regulators, auditors, executive leadership, and global business partners.
- Experience supporting international business expansion, post-merger integration, organizational restructuring, shared services transformation, enterprise performance management (EPM), strategic planning, and corporate growth initiatives is highly desirable.
- Professional qualifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), or equivalent internationally recognized finance certifications are considered a significant advantage.
