About the Opportunity
GSD Search is partnered with a rapidly growing organization in Nashville to identify a strategic and hands-on Director of Finance. This role will serve as a key financial leader responsible for overseeing accounting operations, financial planning, forecasting, cash flow management, and process optimization as the company continues to scale aggressively over the next several years.

Position Overview
The Director of Finance will lead core accounting and financial operations while partnering closely with executive leadership to improve visibility into company performance, forecasting, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge combined with forward-looking financial planning and analytical capabilities.
Candidates with experience in manufacturing or inventory-driven environments are highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day accounting operations including AP/AR, general ledger, and month-end close
- Oversee accrual-based financial reporting and ensure accuracy of financial statements
- Develop and maintain short-term and long-range cash flow forecasting models
- Provide financial insights and operational reporting to executive leadership
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives across the organization
- Partner cross-functionally to improve financial visibility and operational decision-making
- Support inventory costing methodologies and financial process improvements
- Assist with ERP optimization and financial systems scalability initiatives
- Coordinate with external audit and tax partners as needed
- Establish and refine financial controls, reporting processes, and KPI tracking as the company grows
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or 7+ years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience
- Strong understanding of accrual accounting principles and financial operations
- Experience with forecasting, cash management, and financial modeling
- ERP experience required; NetSuite experience strongly preferred
- Manufacturing, inventory, or cost accounting experience highly preferred
- Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a fast-paced growth environment
- Strong communication and leadership skills with a collaborative mindset

- Experience supporting high-growth or scaling organizations
- Background transitioning or improving costing methodologies
- Experience building processes and infrastructure within evolving finance organizations
Compensation & Benefits
- Compensation: $145,000 – $165,000
