Role Description

This is an executive leadership role for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO), responsible for overseeing the financial strategy, planning, management, and governance of an organization. The CFO ensures the financial health, sustainability, and long-term growth of the organization by providing strategic financial leadership and decision-making support to senior leadership and stakeholders.

The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for developing and implementing financial strategies aligned with organizational goals. This includes overseeing budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, capital allocation, and investment strategies. The CFO ensures that financial resources are effectively managed to support operational efficiency and business growth.

A key responsibility of the role is financial reporting and compliance. The CFO ensures the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial statements, and maintains compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal financial policies. They oversee audits and ensure effective internal controls are in place.

The CFO also manages risk assessment and financial risk mitigation strategies. This includes monitoring market conditions, identifying financial risks, and implementing measures to protect the organization’s financial stability.

In addition, the role involves leadership of finance teams, including accounting, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), treasury, tax, and audit functions. The CFO provides guidance, mentorship, and performance oversight to ensure high levels of efficiency and accountability across all finance functions.

The CFO plays a critical role in strategic decision-making, including mergers and acquisitions, business expansion, pricing strategies, and long-term investment planning. They collaborate closely with other executive leaders to align financial strategy with overall business objectives.

The position requires strong analytical capability, leadership experience, and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to executive teams, boards, and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master’s degree such as MBA preferred)
  • Professional certification such as CPA, CFA, or ACCA strongly preferred
  • Extensive experience in senior financial leadership roles
  • Strong knowledge of corporate finance, accounting principles, and financial strategy
  • Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and regulatory compliance
  • Experience in risk management and internal control systems
  • Leadership experience managing finance teams and cross-functional collaboration
  • Strong strategic thinking and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in mergers, acquisitions, or corporate restructuring is an advantage
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage complex financial operations in dynamic environments
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and executive-level professionalism
