Overview:
ACCU Staffing is recruiting on behalf of a well-established, B2B company seeking a hands-on Chief Financial Officer. This is not a traditional corporate CFO role. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable developing financial strategy, analyzing performance, working directly with lenders and external partners, and rolling up their sleeves to support daily accounting operations. A proactive, hands-on approach and the flexibility to go beyond a traditional 9-to-5 mindset are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with ownership to develop financial strategy and drive company growth
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and financial analysis
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting
- Analyze inventory, SKUs, COGS, margins, and profitability
- Manage relationships with lenders, banks, and the company's CPA firm
- Lead and mentor the accounting team
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue, manage expenses, and improve operational efficiency
- Implement technology, automation, and AI solutions to enhance reporting and decision-making
- Prepare and review monthly and quarterly financial statements
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of progressive financial leadership experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks (or comparable accounting software) experience
- Experience with inventory-based businesses, SKUs, COGS, and financial reporting
- Comfortable working directly with ownership, lenders, and outside CPA firms
- Hands-on leader with a proactive, results-driven mindset
- Willingness to go beyond a traditional 9-to-5 schedule when business needs require it
- CPA or equivalent senior financial leadership experience is a plus
