ABOUT ROIBOS

Roibos is a fast-growing travel technology company operating at the intersection of distribution, fintech, and global travel infrastructure. As we scale, we are expanding our financial capabilities to support increasingly complex operations, including multi-currency environments, international expansion, and fintech-driven initiatives.

We are seeking a strategic and execution-focused Chief Financial Officer to lead our financial function and support the company's next phase of growth. This role will work closely with the CEO to define and execute financial strategy, with a strong emphasis on treasury, capital management, and financial partnerships.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The CFO will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company, with particular focus on treasury, liquidity management, working capital optimization, and financial strategy.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both strategic thinking and operational excellence. The ideal candidate brings deep financial expertise combined with strong experience in banking relationships, working capital management, and fintech-related environments.

The CFO will report directly to the CEO and will prepare high-quality reporting materials for the Board and shareholders.

Key responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the company's financial strategy in alignment with growth objectives
  • Lead treasury management, including liquidity planning, cash flow optimization, and working capital management across multiple currencies
  • Design and implement FX and hedging strategies to manage currency exposure
  • Build and manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, and financing partners
  • Support the CEO in capital raising initiatives, investor relations, and strategic financing (equity and debt)
  • Lead financial aspects of fintech-related initiatives, including structuring partnerships with payment providers, financial institutions, and capital partners
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes across the organization
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
  • Oversee preparation of Annual Financial Statements, coordinating with external tax and accounting advisors
  • Collaborate closely with Legal, Tax, Payroll, and external partners to ensure compliance and efficiency
  • Support business functions by providing financial insight, performance analysis, and decision-making support to Sales, Operations, Product, and other internal teams, ensuring financial discipline across the organization
  • Lead, mentor, and scale the internal finance function

REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (MBA or equivalent preferred)
  • 10+ years of progressive finance experience, including senior leadership roles
  • Strong expertise in treasury, cash flow management, and financial operations
  • Proven experience working with banks, financial institutions, and/or investors
  • Deep understanding of Spanish accounting standards, tax environment, and IFRS/GAAP
  • Demonstrated experience in multi-currency environments and FX/hedging strategies
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills
  • Experience managing and developing finance teams
  • Full professional fluency in English (written and spoken) and Spanish
  • Hands-on mindset with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

VALUABLE EXPERIENCE

  • Travel industry experience (travel tech, OTAs, bedbanks, or similar) — strongly preferred
  • Fintech or financial services environments
  • International structures and cross-border taxation (particularly US-related)
  • Capital raising, M&A, or strategic finance initiatives
  • Fully digital, data-driven environments
  • Professional certifications (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent)
