Position Summary
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for the overall financial leadership, operational discipline, profitability, governance, and strategic growth of Daily Food. The CFO will act as the CEO’s business partner, ensuring the company achieves world-class financial controls while supporting the transformation into one of Africa’s leading bakery and FMCG manufacturers.
The CFO will oversee Finance, Accounting, Procurement, Cost Control, Internal Audit, Banking, ERP (Sage), Reporting, Risk Management, Treasury, and Business Intelligence.

Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Leadership
* Lead all accounting and finance operations
* Produce accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
* Manage P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow
* Maintain General Ledger accuracy
* Ensure month-end closing within 5 working days
* Develop annual budgets and rolling forecasts
* Monitor financial KPIs daily

* Daily cash flow forecasting
* Optimize working capital

Own the profitability of the company through continuous cost optimization.

Work closely with Production.

Responsible for inventory accuracy.

Lead the implementation and optimization of Sage ERP.

Qualifications
* Chartered Accountant (ACCA, CPA, CA, CIMA or equivalent)
* MBA (preferred)
* Minimum 10 years of finance leadership experience
* At least 5 years as Finance Manager or CFO in FMCG or Manufacturing
* Strong experience with ERP systems (Sage, SAP, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics)
* Excellent knowledge of manufacturing costing, inventory control, treasury, taxation and business analytics
* Experience with multinational operations and export businesses is a strong advantage

Qualifications & Experience
The ideal candidate must possess:
* Chartered Accountant qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA, CIMA or equivalent).
* MBA or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration (preferred).
* Minimum 15 years of progressive finance experience, including at least 5 years as CFO, Finance Director or Head of Finance.

* Experience managing international operations, exports and multi-country financial reporting.
* Strong understanding of IFRS, corporate governance, taxation and internal controls.
* Experience working with external auditors (PwC, EY, Deloitte or KPMG) and leading audit processes.
* Demonstrated success in supporting fundraising, banking relationships and investor due diligence.
