About the Role
A growing real estate investment firm is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to join its executive leadership team and lead all aspects of finance across the organization.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will play a central role in corporate strategy, capital allocation, investment decisions, financing activity, portfolio performance, and long-term growth.
This is a broad, high-impact mandate spanning strategic finance, accounting, treasury, capital markets, debt management, investor reporting, tax, risk, and financial operations.
The ideal candidate will combine deep real estate finance expertise with strong leadership, commercial judgment, and the ability to operate at both a strategic and hands-on level.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the company's financial strategy alongside the CEO and executive leadership team
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, capital allocation, liquidity, and cash management
- Evaluate acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, refinancings, and recapitalizations
- Serve as the financial lead on major real estate and capital markets transactions
- Oversee debt, lender relationships, covenant compliance, financing activity, and capital structures
- Monitor portfolio and asset performance and identify opportunities to maximize returns
- Lead corporate accounting, property accounting, treasury, tax, investor reporting, and financial controls
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for management, lenders, and investors
- Strengthen systems, processes, reporting, internal controls, and financial infrastructure
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance and accounting team
- Partner closely with Acquisitions, Asset Management, Property Management, and Construction teams
- Serve as a trusted company-wide advisor on finance, investments, transactions, risk, and strategic growth
Candidate Profile
- 10+ years of senior financial leadership experience within real estate investment, private equity, or property operations
- Deep expertise across real estate finance, capital markets, debt, transactions, and portfolio performance
- Proven experience leading acquisitions, dispositions, refinancings, and recapitalizations
- Strong strategic, commercial, and team leadership capabilities
- CPA or MBA preferred
- Entrepreneurial, hands-on, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment
