Lighthouse Search is partnering with a rapidly growing manufacturing organization to identify an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This executive will play a critical role in driving the company's financial strategy, operational performance, and long-term growth initiatives. The organization is currently undergoing a NetSuite ERP implementation and seeks a finance leader with deep manufacturing and cost accounting expertise who can help optimize financial processes, reporting, and scalability.

In addition to leading the finance function, the CFO will serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership, supporting capital markets activities, M&A initiatives, investor relations, and public company reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead all aspects of corporate finance, accounting, treasury, tax, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning & analysis.
  • Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute strategic growth initiatives.
  • Provide actionable financial insights to improve profitability, operational efficiency, and business performance.
  • Establish and maintain financial controls, governance, and risk management processes.

Manufacturing Finance & Cost Accounting

  • Oversee all manufacturing accounting activities, including standard costing, inventory valuation, cost allocations, variance analysis, and margin optimization.
  • Develop robust cost accounting methodologies to support operational decision-making and profitability analysis.
  • Partner with operations and supply chain leadership to improve inventory controls, manufacturing efficiencies, and working capital management.
  • Drive KPI development and reporting across production, inventory, and operational performance metrics.

NetSuite ERP Leadership

  • Serve as the executive finance lead for the company's NetSuite implementation.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and implementation partners to ensure successful deployment, adoption, and optimization of financial processes.
  • Improve reporting, automation, internal controls, and data visibility through NetSuite.
  • Establish scalable financial systems and infrastructure to support future growth.

SEC Reporting & Compliance

  • Lead all SEC reporting activities, including preparation and review of 10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks, proxy statements, and other regulatory filings.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, SEC regulations, and applicable financial reporting standards.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, legal counsel, lenders, and regulatory agencies.
  • Oversee internal controls and financial reporting governance.

Mergers & Acquisitions

  • Support acquisition strategy through financial analysis, due diligence, valuation, integration planning, and post-acquisition performance tracking.
  • Evaluate strategic investment opportunities and capital allocation initiatives.
  • Lead financial modeling and business case development for M&A transactions.
  • Assist with financing activities and interactions with investors, lenders, and board members.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including CFO, VP Finance, or Corporate Controller roles.
  • Significant experience within manufacturing environments.
  • Deep expertise in cost accounting, inventory accounting, standard costing, and manufacturing operations finance.
  • Hands-on experience leading or supporting NetSuite ERP implementations.
  • Strong SEC reporting and public company experience.
  • Demonstrated success supporting mergers, acquisitions, due diligence, and integration activities.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial controls.
  • Proven ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing finance teams.
  • Exceptional communication and executive leadership skills.

  • Experience scaling finance functions through periods of transformation and growth.
