A private equity-backed financial technology business is seeking a commercially minded Chief Financial Officer to help scale and institutionalise the organisation through its next phase of growth.
The company provides mission-critical software and technology solutions to financial institutions and is entering an exciting period of operational scaling, product expansion, and strategic transformation following recent investment.
This is a highly visible CFO role partnering closely with the CEO, Board, and sponsor group, with responsibility for building institutional-grade finance infrastructure while supporting broader strategic growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all core finance functions including FP&A, controllership, treasury, audit, tax, and strategic finance
- Partner with the CEO and investors on long-term strategic planning and value creation initiatives
- Build and professionalise financial reporting, systems, forecasting, and operational processes
- Support M&A evaluation, integration, and broader corporate development activity
- Drive KPI visibility, operational rigor, and data-driven decision making across the business
- Manage lender, investor, and board-level relationships
- Help position the business for long-term strategic growth and eventual exit readiness
Ideal Background
- Prior CFO or senior finance leadership experience within a PE-backed software, fintech, or tech-enabled business
- Strong experience operating within high-growth and operationally complex environments
- Track record building scalable finance infrastructure and supporting institutionalisation
- Experience partnering with private equity sponsors and executive leadership teams
- M&A, integration, and transformation experience highly desirable
- Combination of strategic capability and operational execution mindset
