Our client, a multi-state professional services organization headquartered in Miami, is seeking a hands-on accounting leader ready to step into a high-visibility CFO-track role. This opportunity offers strong executive exposure, ownership of the accounting and finance function, and long-term growth into a true CFO seat.
Responsibilities
- Lead full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, financial reporting, and general ledger oversight
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and banking relationships
- Develop and mentor accounting staff while driving accountability and operational discipline
- Partner with executive leadership on financial performance and strategic initiatives
- Improve processes, reporting infrastructure, and overall financial operations
- Oversee audits, controls, and compliance activities
Qualifications
- 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance leadership experience
- Experience leading accounting teams and owning full accounting operations
- Strong background in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Process improvement and systems/ERP experience preferred
- CPA strongly preferred
- Experience within mid-sized or multi-entity organizations highly preferred
