The Chief Commercial Officer is responsible for leading and developing Netbank’s segment-focused commercial and solution management teams. This role drives performance by improving sales processes, managing sales execution, onboarding major clients, identifying product innovations, and scaling high-performing teams. The role provides strategic leadership across a wide range of embedded finance segments, including platforms for payments, lending, international transfers, HRIS, fintech, e-commerce, accounting, and public service integrations.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Sales Strategy Development: Design and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with Netbank’s business goals, focusing on high-growth opportunities in embedded finance.
- Segment Ownership: Lead and oversee multiple solution teams, each focused on a specific partner segment (e.g., fintech platforms, enterprise systems, financial institutions). Ensure strategies are tailored to the unique needs and dynamics of each segment.
Sales Process and Tools
- Sales Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve sales processes for efficiency and client experience. Implement best practices and innovation across the sales lifecycle.
- Sales Planning and Enablement: Define segment-specific sales plans—including personas, sales models, value propositions, and differentiators. Lead the development of sales materials and playbooks.
- Tools and Systems: Identify and implement modern sales tools, CRM systems, and reporting platforms to support execution, visibility, and productivity.
Client Onboarding and Success
- Major Client Onboarding: Oversee the onboarding of key clients. Ensure seamless integration and handoff from sales to implementation. Maintain strong senior relationships with top partners.
- Client Relationship and Retention: Implement customer satisfaction initiatives and respond effectively to client concerns. Promote long-term engagement and partnership growth.
Innovation and Product Alignment
- Innovation Leadership: Identify trends and lead the ideation of new products and enhancements, in partnership with the Product team.
- Segment Research: Conduct ongoing market and segment-level research to understand customer needs, challenges, and opportunities.
- Product Optimization and Roadmap: Collaborate with Product to enhance offerings—including features, pricing structures, integrations, and value-added services—based on segment requirements. Contribute to the development and prioritization of the commercial enhancement roadmap.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Internal Coordination: Work closely with Product, Marketing, Operations, and Customer Success to align efforts and drive commercial outcomes.
- Strategic Partnerships: Establish and nurture relationships with external partners—such as platform providers, associations, and fintech collaborators—to enhance Netbank’s value proposition and reach.
Reporting and Communication
- Executive Reporting: Deliver clear and actionable reports to the executive team covering sales performance, market trends, team productivity, and strategic initiatives.
- Internal Alignment: Ensure open, transparent communication across teams. Cascade goals, updates, and expectations clearly.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all commercial activities are fully compliant with applicable regulations and internal policies.
- Risk Monitoring: Conduct regular risk assessments related to commercial engagements and proactively mitigate sales-related risks.
This role requires a dynamic leader with a strong track record in sales management, a deep understanding of embedded finance, and the ability to drive growth through innovation and strategic execution. The CCO will play a critical role in shaping the bank's commercial strategy and ensuring the success of its embedded finance offerings.
