Role Overview:
Based in Zagreb, the Chief Accountant will lead the accounting function across the Adriatic region, ensuring accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, payroll oversight, and strong financial controls. The role will manage relationships with external agencies, auditors, and authorities while partnering closely with local and regional teams to support business performance and process excellence.
Key responsibilities:
- Statutory reporting preparation and submission;
- Payroll and Payroll Tax calculation;
- Control of financial accounting, tax accounting;
- Development of accounting and tax policies;
- Preparation tax returns;
- Control of accounting of office expenses;
- Control of accounts receivables and accounts payables;
- HR & law issues.
What We’re Looking For:
- Higher education;
- Relevant experience minimum 3 years;
- Excellent knowledge of all accountant procedures and regulations;
- Experience of successful completion of audits and tax audits;
- Experience with ERP system is preferable.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:
- Fluent in Croatian and good command of English both written and spoken.
