1. Operational Accounting Management
– Oversee full accounting cycle for subsidiary companies (AP, AR, GL, fixed assets)
– Ensure timely payments in compliance with tax regulations and company policies
– Review and approve journal entries, vouchers, and accounting postings
– Ensure timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing. Financial Statements (BS, PL, CF) issued correctly in both IFRS and VAS with clear reconciliations.
– Other ad-hoc reports as required by management
2. Treasury & Insurance Management
– Monitor daily cash positions and prepare cash flow forecasts
– Maintain banking relationships and manage bank account administration
– Optimize cash utilization and working capital management
– Coordinate insurance renewals, value reporting, and claims processing
3. Internal Controls & Tax Management
– Maintain robust internal controls and continuously improve systems to safeguard company assets
– Check budget and expenses for projects in-charged.
– Tax fillings and settlement correctly and on time (VAT, WHT, CIT and others)
– Stay updated on tax regulations and apply them optimally for company benefit
– Coordinate with tax authorities during inspections, queries, and assessments
– Liaise with external and internal auditors, tax consultants, and professional advisors
4. Team Leadership & Development
– Lead, supervise, and mentor the accounting team
– Conduct continuous training for technical skills development and experience sharing
– Manage direct reports' performance through regular feedback and development plans
– Plan career paths for team members and assign work priorities effectively
5. Other Duties
– Undertake additional assignments as directed by Finance Director.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA (REQUIREMENTS)
– Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification is a plus
– Proven ability to manage full accounting operations independently
– Experience in managing and developing accounting teams, from 5 years’ working experience as chief accountant position
– Strong knowledge of VAS, IFRS and tax regulations
– Experience in real estate or property management industry (preferred)
– Leadership capability to supervise and guide junior staff
– English: Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders, both written and verbal
