Eligibility Criteria
- Student at an accredited post‑secondary institution/university, currently enrolled in an undergraduate program with a graduation date of December 2027, 2028, or 2029.
- Available to work full‑time from September to December 2026.
- Proven track record of excellent academic standing, extra‑curricular participation, and demonstrated interest in finance.
- Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada, or legally authorized to work in Canada without requiring future sponsorship.
Global Markets Overview
Co‑Op Analysts will work in the Global Markets Group, which includes Client Coverage, Origination, Digital and Liquid Trading, Structured Product Trading, Equity Products, and Financial Resource Management. This group serves institutional, corporate, and government clients. Desks include Equity Sales & Trading, Equity Structured Solutions, Prime Finance, Research, Rates Sales & Trading, Origination, and Quantitative Modeling.
Responsibilities
- Development and deployment of business solutions such as pricing and risk models.
- Market data capture and display, spreadsheet development.
- Providing insight into trading strategies via quantitative modelling.
- Improving existing technology involving system infrastructure, internal reporting, client/management presentations, etc.
- Bespoke projects requiring market, portfolio, or client research and data analytics.
- Creating client presentation materials using PowerPoint and Excel.
- Developing client trade ideas.
- Planning client events.
- Recapping and organising market data and events.
- Shadowing and learning from Trading, Sales, and Strategy professionals.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program with a graduation date of December 2027, 2028, or 2029.
- Studying Finance, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or Statistics.
- Proven track record of excellent academic standing and extra‑curricular participation.
- Demonstrated interest in and knowledge of financial markets.
- Excellent research and analytical skills, able to collect, analyse, and interpret data.
- Strong interpersonal skills for a demanding team environment.
- Demonstrated proactivity, resiliency, positive attitude, and high motivation.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to review, assess, and provide detailed information daily on multiple projects in an organised manner.
- Excellent capacity to work independently as part of a team via self‑motivation.
- Strong work ethic, high professional integrity, detail and results orientation.
- Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada, or legally authorized to work in Canada without requiring future sponsorship.
Additional Preferred Technical Qualifications
- Knowledge or experience with front‑end developer languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular).
- Knowledge or experience with back‑end developer languages (C++, C#, Java, Python, VBA).
- Experience with a statistical programming language (R, MATLAB).
- Database experience (SQL, Oracle).
- Familiarity with data manipulation and a strong quantitative/statistical background.
- Understanding of mathematical modelling.
- Fluency in Excel, including scripting and efficient spreadsheet design.
- Strong technical writing ability.

Salary & Benefits
Salary: $100,000 CAD.
Pay type:
