Position Summary:
The Capital Markets and Financial Analyst will be responsible for conducting in-depth financial analysis, supporting transaction execution, and providing insights on market trends. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills, financial acumen, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Analysis and Modeling:
- Conduct detailed financial analysis and modeling to support capital market transactions.
- Evaluate financial statements, perform valuations, and analyze potential investment opportunities.
- Prepare financial projections, sensitivity analyses, and scenario planning.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor budget performance and provide updates to management.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting efforts.
Transaction Support:
- Assist in the execution of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other strategic transactions.
- Conduct due diligence, including market research, financial analysis, and risk assessment.
- Prepare transaction-related documentation, including investment memos, pitch books, and presentations.
Market Research and Analysis:
- Monitor and analyze capital markets, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
- Provide insights on market conditions, financing options, and potential investment opportunities.
- Stay abreast of economic developments and regulatory changes impacting capital markets.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with internal teams, including finance, legal, and operations, to support transaction execution.
- Assist in managing relationships with external stakeholders, including investment banks, advisors, and investors.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to senior management and other key stakeholders.
Risk Management:
- Identify and assess risks associated with capital market transactions and propose mitigation strategies.
- Monitor ongoing performance of executed transactions and provide post-transaction analysis.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare and maintain detailed transaction documentation, including due diligence reports and financial analyses.
- Develop and present regular reports on transaction progress, market conditions, and strategic recommendations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all transaction-related activities.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or a related field.
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
- Excellent understanding of capital markets, transaction processes, and financial instruments.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools, including Excel, Bloomberg, and financial databases.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) preferred.

Physical Requirements:
- Able to remain in a seated position for an extended period and to lift and carry up to 15 lbs. (office manuals, case notebooks, case files, case materials, standard boxes, report binders, etc.) as needed.
