About the Role
We are looking for a highly driven finance professional to join our Business Finance team. The role will partner closely with business leaders and be responsible for driving revenue assurance, MIS reporting, financial governance and the Order-to-Cash (O2C) process for a business unit. This is a high-visibility role requiring strong analytical capabilities, commercial acumen and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Business Finance & MIS
- Own end-to-end MIS for the assigned business unit, including monthly financial reporting, dashboards, and management presentations.
- Deliver actionable insights on revenue, margins, utilization, profitability, working capital, and key business KPIs.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and business planning exercises.
- Partner with business leaders to drive financial performance and decision-making.
Revenue Recognition & Order-to-Cash (O2C)
- Manage the complete Order-to-Cash lifecycle, including contract review, billing governance, collections tracking, and revenue recognition.
- Ensure revenue recognition is compliant with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
- Drive process improvements to enhance billing accuracy, reduce revenue leakages, and improve cash collections.
- Coordinate with Sales, Operations, PMO, and Shared Services to ensure seamless execution of O2C processes.
Audit & Financial Governance
- Lead statutory and internal audit engagements relating to revenue, receivables, contracts, and O2C processes.
- Liaise with Big 4 auditors to provide revenue assurance and address audit queries.
- Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting policies and financial governance standards.
- Identify process gaps and implement robust control mechanisms.
Qualifications & Desired Skills
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA (Finance) from a reputed institute.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in Business Finance, FP&A, Commercial Finance preferably from IT services companies
- Prior experience working with or handling audits by Big 4 firms is highly desirable.
- Experience in IT Services, Staffing, Consulting, SaaS, or other project-based businesses will be preferred
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and revenue recognition.
- Excellent financial modelling and analytical skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; exposure to ERP systems and BI tools is preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions.
- High level of ownership, integrity, and problem-solving ability.
