Our client is a top financial institution with significant North American holdings. They have operations across most major verticals, including institutional & corporate, wealth management, private client, commercial banking, treasury, and retail banking.
Introduction: Robertson is seeking a skilled Business Analyst – Non-IT V to join our client in support of an existingvacancy.
Contract Period: 6 months with potential to convert
Pay Rate: Starting from $120 per hour
Location: Toronto, ON
Location Type: Hybrid; Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday on site
Business Hours: Monday to Friday; Core Business Hours
Job Responsibilities:
The Business Analyst will play a key role in researching and analyzing major derivatives and collateral initiatives, aimed at identifying, documenting, and implementing complex processing, service, and technical improvements. This role involves supporting business initiatives that may include the implementations of new technologies and products. The analyst will collaborate with stakeholders across various groups within the organization to ensure that projects are executed effectively and align with strategic business goals.
- Collect, document, and manage business requirements throughout the project lifecycle
- Develop and execute test strategies, plans, test cases and expected results in consultation with key stakeholders to ensure that initiatives being implemented meet expected deliverables; maintain superior project documentation
- Work independently or with management to identify complex operational business issues and develop creative solutions involving workflow procedures and/or new technologies
- Establish relationships with business leaders to determine optimal solutions for complex business needs. Use your industry knowledge and expertise, as well as external service providers to support new processes or requests by clients
- Ensure that all processes and systems work within any mandated regulatory and compliance requirements for the industry
- Maintain focus as priorities change, keeping business needs and importance in perspective as it relates to overall strategic goals and communicating these changes in an understandable, justified and acceptable means
Experience & Qualification Requirements:
- University degree in Business, Finance, or Computer Science; MBA, CFA, FRM or similar certification is a plus
- 5+ years of Business Analysis experience within an Application Management environment within the financial services industry
- High level of proficiency with systems such as BlackRocks Aladdin investment platform is required
- In-depth experience with derivatives products, especially the Collateral Management and trade lifecycle management processes
- Experience in system integrations and implementations is advantageous
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a global setting
- Strong understanding of system design, analysis, user acceptance testing, and product improvement methodologies
- Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills, with the ability to clearly articulate business cases, motivate team members, and negotiate with cross-functional representatives
