Job Title: Business Analyst – Wealth Management & AI
Location: Toronto/Hybrid
Mode : Contract
Role Summary
We are seeking a Business Analyst with strong Wealth Management domain expertise and hands‑on exposure to AI/Advanced Analytics to support digital transformation initiatives across investment advisory, portfolio management, client onboarding, and servicing platforms. The role will bridge business, data, and technology teams, translating wealth business needs into scalable, AI‑enabled solutions while ensuring regulatory compliance and superior client experience.
Key Responsibilities
Wealth Management Business Analysis
- Elicit and document business requirements across Wealth Management domains including:
- Investment advisory & portfolio management
- Client onboarding & KYC
- CRM & relationship management
- Trading, performance reporting, and risk profiling
- Analyze front‑office, middle‑office, and back‑office wealth processes and identify optimization opportunities.
- Develop business cases, functional specifications, and user stories aligned with Agile/Scrum delivery models.
- Partner with Product Owners to prioritize features and manage backlog based on business value.
AI & Data‑Driven Enablement
- Identify and define business use cases for AI/ML/GenAI within Wealth Management, such as:
- Client personalization & next‑best‑action
- Portfolio insights & predictive analytics
- Intelligent client servicing & virtual assistants
- Operational efficiency and automation
- Translate AI concepts into clear functional requirements, success metrics, and KPIs.
- Support model explainability, outcome interpretation, and adoption from a business and regulatory perspective.
- Collaborate with Data Scientists and Engineers to validate data inputs, assumptions, and outputs.
Stakeholder & Delivery Management
- Act as a liaison between Wealth business stakeholders, technology teams, data teams, and compliance.
- Support UAT planning, test case definition, validation, and go‑live readiness.
- Ensure solutions align with regulatory, risk, privacy, and governance requirements.
- Produce executive‑ready documentation, dashboards, and status updates.
Required Skills & Experience
Domain & Functional
- 6+ years of Business Analysis experience, with strong exposure to Wealth Management.
- Solid understanding of:
- Investment products (mutual funds, ETFs, equities, fixed income)
- Portfolio construction & performance metrics
- Client lifecycle management
- Experience working with Agile delivery (Scrum/Kanban).
AI, Analytics & Technology
- Working knowledge of AI/ML/GenAI concepts and their application in financial services.
- Experience gathering requirements for data‑driven, analytics, or AI‑enabled solutions.
- Understanding of data platforms, dashboards, and analytics tools (e.g., SQL, BI tools).
- Familiarity with cloud‑based platforms and modern digital architectures is a plus.
Regulatory & Risk Awareness
- Awareness of Wealth Management regulations, data privacy, and compliance considerations.
- Ability to factor explainability, auditability, and ethical AI considerations into requirements.
Soft Skills
- Excellent stakeholder communication and facilitation skills.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and documentation abilities.
- Comfortable working in client‑facing, multi‑vendor, global delivery environments.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Technology, or related field.
- Preferred (but not mandatory):
- CBAP / CCBA
- Agile certifications
- AI, Data Analytics, or Financial Services certifications
Nice‑to‑Have
- Experience in large banks or wealth firms.
- Exposure to AI governance, model risk, or responsible AI frameworks.
- Experience supporting transformation programs or platform modernization initiatives.
