Business Analyst – Digital (Life Insurance) | Melbourne | Contract
We’re working with a highly regarded Melbourne-based organisation undergoing significant digital uplift across their customer platforms. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative, high-performing delivery environment focused on improving how customers engage across the full sales journey.
This role sits within a Continuous Delivery team supporting the Individual Life business, working closely with Product, Engineering and Delivery to enhance customer-facing capabilities.

The role:
You’ll operate as a Business Analyst within a cross-functional squad, supporting initiatives across the Customer New Business domain — focused on improving digital sales pipelines and customer onboarding experiences.
You’ll work closely with stakeholders and delivery teams to define, document and support the delivery of high-quality solutions.
Key responsibilities:
- Gather and refine business requirements and initiative scope
- Produce artefacts including Activity Diagrams, Use Cases and User Stories
- Work closely with Engineers on conceptual and sequence diagrams
- Translate requirements into Epics, Features and User Stories (Jira)
- Collaborate with QA teams on testing, defect triage and validation
- Support offshore delivery teams within the squad
- Contribute to continuous improvement across delivery processes
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in Agile delivery environments
- Strong experience working within digital or customer-facing platforms
- Ability to produce structured analysis artefacts (Use Cases, process flows, etc.)
- Experience working closely with Engineering and QA teams
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience with Jira and Agile delivery frameworks
Nice to have:
- Experience within Life Insurance or Financial Services
- Exposure to customer onboarding, sales pipelines or policy platforms
- Experience working in continuous delivery / DevOps environments
