About the Role:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and strategic Budget & Reporting Manager to be based in our Amsterdam office and oversee the budgeting and financial reporting processes for our Netherlands operations. In this role, you will be responsible not only for the standalone reporting of the Dutch entity but also for the preparation of the sub-group consolidated financial statements of its subsidiaries in line with IFRS and Group reporting requirements.

You will play a key role in managing the full planning cycle, ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of financial data, and acting as the main point of contact between the local finance teams and Group Finance. The position requires strong hands-on experience in consolidation, a solid technical knowledge of IFRS, and the ability to deliver high-quality financial insights in a dynamic international environment. This is a high-visibility role with direct exposure to senior management and key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing and reporting processes for the Dutch entity and its subsidiaries.
  • Prepare standalone and sub-group consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS and Group reporting requirements.
  • Oversee the budgeting and forecasting processes; provide variance analysis and financial insights to leadership.
  • Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and timely submission of the Group reporting package.
  • Coordinate the financial closing process across multiple entities and act as the main point of contact for Group Finance.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, local regulations, and internal accounting policies.
  • Partner with various departments to support financial planning and business decisions.
  • Support the preparation of management reports, board presentations, and ad-hoc financial analyses.
  • Implement and improve internal controls, consolidation procedures, and financial reporting systems.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and professional corporate service provider firms during audits and period-end closings.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CMA) is a plus.
  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience in financial reporting, budgeting, or audit, preferably within an international company or a globally recognized audit/financial advisory firm.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and hands-on experience in preparing consolidated financial statements.
  • Proven experience in managing budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP and Group reporting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, Cognos, Microsoft Dynamics or similar).
  • Solid understanding of financial closing and Group reporting packages.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven and fast-paced international environment.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Experience in a multi-entity and international reporting structure is a strong plus.
  • Experience with consolidation and reporting tools is a plus.
