– Budget & Cost Manager
Position Title:
AM/Manager-Budget & Cost Control
Location:
Okhla Phase 3, New Delhi
Role Overview:
The Budget and cost Manager will be part of the CEO Office team and responsible for implementing, monitoring, and analyzing budgeting and cost control across real estate projects. This role will ensure that financial processes are followed, budgets are aligned with project execution, and cost efficiencies are achieved.
The position will bridge finance, procurement, contracts, and project teams , ensuring smooth coordination and adherence to financial strategies. The focus will be on driving execution, enforcing compliance, and providing analytical insights rather than direct negotiation or transactional finance work.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Budget Monitoring & Cost Oversight (Real Estate Focus)
Ensure direct cost monitoring for real estate projects, covering materials, labor, and subcontractor expenses.
Track and analyze budget vs. actual expenditures , identifying cost overruns and ensuring corrective actions.
Drive the implementation of OPEX/CAPEX budgeting , ensuring clear tracking and reporting.
Monitor BOQ updates in Far Vision to reflect real-time budget adjustments.
Work closely with QS, Procurement, and Contracts teams to ensure cost discipline and adherence to financial processes.
2. Implementation & Process Compliance
Ensure Budget controls, and reporting mechanisms are executed effectively .
Conducted cost audits and analyses to validate compliance with approved budgets.
Conduct rate analysis audits to ensure procurement and contract pricing is aligned with market standards.
Maintain and update rate benchmarking databases for key materials, labor, and subcontractor services.
Drive the automation of budget reporting through ERP (Far Vision) enhancements.
3. Cost Analysis & Reporting
Conduct detailed cost variance analysis and recommend process improvements.
Develop real-time dashboards to monitor project budgets, commitments, and cash flow.
Ensure Budget vs. Actual Reporting is accurate and accessible for
leadership
review.
4. Cross-Department Execution & Monitoring
Collaborate with Procurement, QS, and Contracts teams to ensure budget compliance in material procurement and vendor payments.
Work alongside Finance to align budget approvals, payments, and cost reporting.
Ensure contractor evaluations include cost performance as a key metric.
Monitor cost trends and provide proactive alerts for potential budget risks.
Key Requirements:
Education & Experience:
Master’s degree in finance & accounting.
5+ years of experience in budgeting, cost management, and financial monitoring (preferably in real estate or construction) .
Experience working with ERP systems (Far Vision preferred) and financial reporting tools.
Expert-level proficiency in Excel, including VBA for macro development.
Strong analytical and
problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
