Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Budget Analyst to support financial planning, analysis, and execution for government programs. The ideal candidate will have experience working with federal budgets, strong analytical skills, and the ability to operate in a secure, compliance-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, review, and manage program budgets and financial plans
- Perform budget analysis, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Track expenditures and ensure alignment with approved funding
- Prepare financial reports and briefings for stakeholders
- Support budget formulation, justification, and execution processes
- Ensure compliance with federal financial regulations and policies
- Collaborate with program managers and finance teams on cost controls
- Monitor obligations and expenditures to prevent funding issues
Required Qualifications:
- Active Secret Clearance (mandatory)
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
- 3–7+ years of experience in budgeting or financial analysis (preferably in federal/government environment)
- Strong knowledge of federal budgeting processes (e.g., PPBE cycle)
- Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, financial modeling, data analysis)
- Experience with financial systems (e.g., Deltek, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
