Role Description The Bookkeeper role at DSG Mouldings Ltd is a contract position in a hybrid work environment, with responsibilities based in Richmond, BC, and some flexibility to work from home. The Bookkeeper will manage day-to-day accounting tasks, including recording and reconciling transactions, processing accounts payable and receivable, preparing and posting journal entries, and maintaining the general ledger. The role includes supporting the preparation of financial statements, assisting with month-end and year-end closing activities, and ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards. The Bookkeeper will also work with accounting software to generate reports, monitor cash flow, and support budgeting and forecasting activities as needed. Collaboration with management and other team members to provide accurate financial information and improve financial processes is an important part of this role.
Qualifications
- Strong bookkeeping skills, including experience with journal entries and maintaining accurate general ledger records.
- Ability to prepare, review, and interpret financial statements and related financial reports.
- Proficiency with accounting software and related tools, with a solid understanding of basic finance principles.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing or construction-related environment is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team in a hybrid office/remote setting.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and ethical financial practices.
