Our client, a leading alternative asset manager, is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join it's Fund Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to transition from public accounting into a leading investment firm, or an experienced fund accounting professional looking to take the next step in their career.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of alternative investment funds and separately managed accounts.
- Review quarterly NAV packages, financial statements, capital activity, and investor reporting prepared by third-party fund administrators.
- Coordinate the quarterly and annual audit process with external auditors.
- Review management fee, incentive fee, and expense calculations.
- Analyze fund performance, portfolio activity, and financial results for senior management.
- Help drive automation and process improvement initiatives across the Fund Finance function.
Qualifications:
- CPA
- 7+ years of accounting/audit experience
- Public accounting experience within Financial Services, preferably at a Big 4 firm.
- Experience auditing or supporting private equity, private credit, hedge fund, real estate, or other alternative investment clients.
- Strong understanding of investment fund structures, partnership accounting, and financial reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills and excellent communication abilities.
