What you will do:

  • Work on live restructuring and distressed mandates in the DACH region, advising companies, creditors and other stakeholders.
  • Build and own complex financial models, including liquidity, capital structure, recovery and valuation analyses.
  • Conduct due diligence on distressed businesses, capital structures and restructuring options.
  • Prepare client materials, restructuring concepts, term sheets and stakeholder presentations in German and English.
  • Support negotiations between companies, banks, bondholders and other creditor groups.
  • Manage Analysts and coordinate with legal advisers, management teams and other parties.
  • Contribute to origination and business development in the German-speaking market.

What are looking for:

  • A strong financial restructuring background gained in investment banking or restructuring advisory.
  • Typically around 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, at Associate level.
  • Fluent German and English are essential, given the DACH client base and direct interaction with management teams and creditors.
  • Excellent financial modelling, analytical and capital-structure skills.
  • A solid understanding of distressed situations, German restructuring processes (e.g. StaRUG) and debt instruments is highly valued.
  • Strong drafting, communication and stakeholder-management skills, with composure under pressure.
  • A top-tier academic background; relevant qualifications (e.g. CFA) are advantageous.
