We are recruiting on behalf of a leading independent alternative investments firm for an Associate to join the Debt Structuring & Portfolio Management team in Frankfurt, focusing on infrastructure and private debt. This role is central to the platform, combining new deal structuring with active portfolio responsibility in a dynamic, international environment.
The opportunity
- Support deal teams in structuring new infrastructure debt investments and, where needed, other private debt asset classes.
- Help shape financing parameters from term sheet stage through to contract signing.
- Prepare credit papers and materials for investment decisions and drive the implementation of approved measures.
- Monitor, analyse and manage existing private debt investments on an ongoing basis.
- Act as first point of contact for intensive and restructuring situations in the portfolio.
- Oversee operational control of assigned portfolios and investments (payments, covenants, waterfall calculations and related topics).
- Prepare regular investor reports and handle ad‑hoc investor queries.
- Maintain accurate data in internal systems and support marketing material preparation and due‑diligence processes.
- Lead internal projects related to the further development of the private debt platform.
Candidate profile
- Degree in economics, finance, business administration or a comparable field.
- At least three years of professional experience in infrastructure debt/project finance/ or Structure Finance at a bank or asset manager.
- Very strong German and English language skills, written and spoken.
- Strong analytical and financial‑mathematical skills, with the ability to interpret complex structures.
- Clear communicator and strong team player with the drive to perform in a dynamic, international organisation.
