JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES / KEY RESULT AREA
1) Financial Reporting & Closing
- To support end-to-end financial reporting processes, including monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- To assist in consolidation of financial results and preparation of management and statutory reports.
2) Budgeting & Forecasting
- To assist in the preparation, consolidation, and monitoring of annual budgets, forecasts, and operating plans.
- To track budget utilisation and highlight variances for management review.
3) Financial Analysis & Monitoring
- To perform budget vs. actual analysis and provide financial insights to support management decision-making.
- To work closely with business units to understand financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
4) Compliance & Governance
- To support compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
- To assist in audit, tax, and regulatory submissions by preparing schedules, documentation, and responses.
5) Stakeholder Coordination
- To liaise with internal stakeholders, auditors, tax advisors, and bankers on financial reporting matters, under the guidance of the Manager.
- To support timely resolution of audit queries and financial reporting issues.
6) Process Improvement
- To identify opportunities to improve financial reporting processes, controls, and systems efficiency.
- To assist in implementing process enhancements and standardisation initiatives.
7) Team Support & Development
- To provide guidance and day-to-day support to junior finance staff, ensuring adherence to procedures and timelines.
- To contribute to knowledge sharing and capability development within the finance team.
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
Formal Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- Professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, CIMA) is an added advantage. Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, accounting, or auditing
Skills / Knowledge/ Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting requirements
- Good analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
