About the Company:
We are partnering with a leading professional services firm launching a dedicated Financial Modelling team as part of their broader finance transformation and advisory offering. The team will provide high-quality modelling support for complex financial transactions, strategic planning, and decision-making across a range of sectors, including private equity, infrastructure, and corporate finance.
Role Overview:
As an Assistant Manager in the Financial Modelling team, you will play a critical role in shaping the delivery and quality of modelling workstreams. Working closely with senior leadership, you will support the development and review of bespoke financial models for clients, contribute to business development initiatives, and assist in establishing modelling best practices and standards across the team.

Key Responsibilities:
Build, maintain, and audit robust financial models tailored to client needs (e.g., valuation, budgeting, scenario analysis, investment appraisals)
Analyse large data sets and interpret results to support strategic recommendations
Contribute to the documentation of model assumptions, methodologies, and outputs
Collaborate with internal teams and external clients to understand requirements and deliver timely, high-quality outputs
Assist in project management including planning, resource coordination, and reporting
Support business development efforts including proposal preparation, pitching, and identifying new client opportunities
Mentor and support junior analysts and contribute to developing internal training resources
Ensure adherence to modelling standards, quality control, and regulatory requirements
Skills & Experience:
Degree educated in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or a related discipline
Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a financial modelling or corporate finance environment (e.g., Big Four, consultancy, investment banking, or PE)
Advanced Excel and strong working knowledge of model optimisation, sensitivity analysis, and scenario modelling
Experience with VBA, Power BI, or modelling software (e.g. @RISK, Python) is advantageous
Strong commercial awareness and ability to communicate complex financial data to non-technical stakeholders
Excellent organisational, time management, and problem-solving abilities
Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA) preferred or working towards
