About the Role
We are seeking a commercially minded and analytical Assistant Manager, Finance to manage core finance responsibilities and support the CEO and senior management on strategic projects, business transformation, tenders, and performance improvement initiatives.
This role is ideal for a hands-on finance professional who enjoys working beyond traditional accounting and contributing directly to business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, management reporting, and full sets of accounts.
- Analyse financial and operational performance and provide actionable recommendations to management.
- Ensure compliance with MFRS/IFRS, statutory requirements, financial controls, and internal policies.
- Prepare financial models, management reports, proposals, and professional presentation decks.
- Support strategic projects, business transformation, cost optimisation, and organisational improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate financial and commercial inputs for tenders, RFPs, and RFQs.
- Work closely with finance, operations, HR, and other departments to improve business performance.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- At least three years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, audit, financial planning, or a related field.
- Strong experience in full sets of accounts, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Good knowledge of MFRS/IFRS, statutory compliance, and financial controls.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management capabilities.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, handle confidential information, and meet strict deadlines.
- Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent, as well as experience in audit, consulting, process improvement, business transformation, or organisational development, will be an advantage.
**Candidates with Big4/MBB, audit, consulting, or corporate finance experience are encouraged to apply.

Remuneration and Performance Incentive
- Basic salary of RM6,000–RM7,000 per month, based on experience and capabilities.
- Additional performance incentive of 3%–5% of verified cost savings successfully implemented, subject to agreed targets and company policy.
