Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Finance Controller to support financial operations, reporting, compliance, and internal controls. The role requires strong hands-on experience in core finance functions, team handling, and business partnering to ensure accurate financial management and strategic decision support.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Accounting
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (IND AS / IFRS / GAAP as applicable)
- Oversee general ledger, reconciliations, and closing processes
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Assist in annual budgeting and periodic forecasting exercises
- Monitor budget vs actual performance and provide variance analysis
- Support management with financial insights and recommendations
Compliance & Audit
- Ensure statutory compliance including GST, TDS, income tax, and other regulations
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors for audits and reviews
- Strengthen internal controls and SOPs across finance processes
Cash Flow & Treasury Management
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity planning
- Support banking relationships, fund management, and payments oversight
Process Improvement & Controls
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation initiatives
- Ensure adherence to internal financial controls and risk mitigation practices
Team Management & Stakeholder Coordination
- Supervise and mentor junior finance team members
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for financial planning and reporting
- Act as a bridge between finance leadership and operational teams
Key Requirements
- 8–9 years of experience in finance and accounting roles
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, and compliance
- Experience in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, or similar)
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial analysis tools
- Good understanding of internal controls and audit processes
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience in handling end-to-end finance operations
- Exposure to automation tools / Power BI / dashboards
- Prior experience in team handling and stakeholder management
