- Evaluate and analyze inbound investment opportunities across a range of products including Private Equity, Mutual Funds, Securities, and direct Property investments (typical ticket size: ~USD 10M).
- Read, interpret, and red-flag complex investment agreements and legal documents with extreme attention to detail.
- Present recommendations to the Director and Principal regarding whether to "subscribe a bit" (minority participation).
- Portfolio & Operations Management:
- Oversee existing projects (PE, Fund Management, Public/Private companies) with a focus on China exposure.
- Track investment returns, monitor performance metrics, and advise on exit strategies/crystallization timing.
- Review and interpret Chinese contracts for current investments in China companies.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Liaise with external partners (law firms, auditors, investee companies) and internal support teams (ComSec, Accounting).
- Synthesize complex financial/legal data into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership.
Candidate Profile:
- Experience: 7–9 years of relevant experience in Legal (transactional/corporate law), Banking (investment/commercial), or Corporate Finance.

- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of Private Equity, Mutual Funds, Securities, and Property investments.
- Soft Skills:
- Executive Presence: Mature, professional, and credible in front of external partners and the Principal.
- Common Sense & Business Sense: Pragmatic decision-making ability.
- Initiative: Self-starter who takes ownership and responsibility.
- Teamwork: Works effectively with existing ComSec and Accounting teams.
