Korn Ferry has partnered with a real estate company in Nashville looking for an Assistant Controller to join their team. This role oversees daily accounting operations, ensures accurate financial reporting, and supports leadership with timely financial insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage month‑end and year‑end close processes.
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Oversee general ledger, reconciliations, AP/AR, payroll, and fixed assets.
- Maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and process improvements.
- Lead and develop accounting staff.
- Coordinate audits and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash‑flow monitoring.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred).
- 7+ years of accounting experience with supervisory duties, real estate industry experience required.
- Strong GAAP knowledge and financial reporting skills.
- Proficiency with accounting systems and Excel.
- Excellent analytical and communication abilities.
