Our Role
We’re looking for an Assistant Accountant to play a hands-on role in our day-to-day finance operations supporting transactional processing, month-end activities, payroll, compliance, and financial reporting across our group entities.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll help keep things running smoothly behind the scenes ensuring accuracy, compliance, and insights that drive smarter decisions across the business.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Accounts payable and receivable, including customer invoice generation and preparing payment runs
- Supporting month-end close: journals, reconciliations, consolidation, reporting and variance analysis
- Payroll processing across multiple jurisdictions
- GST, FBT and other returns processing, in line with location-specific compliance requirements
- Ad-hoc financial analysis as required
- Financial process documentation and improvement
- Assisting in year-end audit and other finance-related projects
What we're looking for
- Prior experience in an Assistant Accountant role or similar
- Strong Excel skills (vlookups, sumifs, pivot tables, etc)
- Experience using Xero
- Experience preparing payroll
- A sound understanding of accounting principles and reporting standards
- Tertiary qualification in accounting or business
- Experience in SaaS or logistics industries would be highly regarded
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment
