The Analyst role is designed as a foundational consulting position for early-career professionals seeking to build expertise in healthcare strategy, analytics, and client delivery. Analysts support project teams by executing business development initiatives and client-facing deliverables, while developing the foundational skills necessary for future success in a dynamic consulting environment.
Analysts are expected to demonstrate intellectual curiosity, proactive forward-thinking mindset, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset. They will gain exposure to a variety of client engagements and internal initiatives, with a focus on developing dynamic consulting capabilities and understanding the healthcare industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Engagement & Project Delivery
• Support business development activities, including proposal preparation and marketing initiatives, as assigned.
• Contribute to the creation of client deliverables by drafting Powerpoints and slide content, and ensuring accuracy, organization, and version control.
• Join client calls and internal meetings to observe, capture action items and build familiarity with consulting practices and norms.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and creativity when approaching data or operational challenges, offering new perspectives and solutions.
• Coordinate Coker Go Live Support (GLS) day-to-day support activities.
• Conduct primary and secondary research to support project analyses and client deliverables as needed.
• Compile and analyze quantitative and qualitative data using Excel, Power BI, or similar tools, developing clear summaries, models, and visuals to support insights and recommendations as needed.
Collaboration & Team Support
• Provide logistical support on client projects including scheduling, calendar management, and file organization to support project efficiency.
• Execute assigned tasks and project follow ups with precision and timeliness.
• Coordinate internally to gather input from cross-functional team members.
• Actively contribute to team discussions, share insights, and help ensure overall project success.
Professional Growth & Competency Development
• Participate in firm onboarding, training sessions, and self-paced learning.
• Seek and incorporate regular feedback from project leads and mentors.
• Begin building fluency in Coker’s methodologies, industry tools, and client service principles through exposure to a variety of client engagements.
• Set learning goals aligned with competencies for future promotion.
• Demonstrate continuous curiosity about healthcare trends, client operations, and consulting best practices.
• Engage in learning opportunities to support long-term development as a consultant professional.
Internal Contributions
• Assist in developing knowledge management resources, templates, and internal process tools.
• Support internal improvement initiatives such as data automation, dashboard development, or reporting enhancements.
• Complete administrative tasks such as project scheduling, time tracking, and project updates accurately and on time.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, healthcare administration, public health, finance, economics, business, computer science, engineering, or a related field with strong academic performance.
• Experience: 0–2 years of relevant experience (e.g., internships, research, or project support).
• Skills:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Solid proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience with data visualization or analysis tools (Power BI, Tableau, SQL, etc.) preferred.
- Clear written and verbal communication.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Professional demeanor, adaptability, and eagerness to learn.
- Familiarity with healthcare data, terminology, and workflows is a plus.
