About This Role

The Data Analyst Tier I is a passionate candidate interested in becoming a certified Data Analyst. The successful candidate will learn LCI’s supply chain while gaining experience in data entry and analytics. In collaboration with the department and company business units, clean order and sales data, identifying present trends in existing metrics and dashboards that will help keep the company informed.

Durham, NC

Monday-Friday 7:30 AM – 4 PM

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize excel to accurately and consistently run multiple daily, weekly, and monthly reports for multiple contracts in a timely manner
  • Utilize Excel (or Python) to accurately and efficiently clean up data
  • Ask relevant questions about data and gather insights relating to LCI’s supply chain
  • Use graphs, infographics and other methods to visualize data
  • Analyze data surrounding KPIs and summarize trends, highlighting important information to send internally
  • Collaborate with other departments to collect and analyze data to make sound business decisions
  • Work with other departments to gain an understanding of LCI’s business channels
  • Create presentations and reports based on recommendations and findings
  • Capable of taking requirements from their department lead and the business, and provide the process tasks to meet the requirement effectively and efficiently.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A minimum undergraduate degree in one of the following; mathematics, finance, statistics, economics, or computer science.
  • Prior experience within the distribution or manufacturing industries preferred but not required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with statistical software (e.g., Python, R)
  • Knowledge of data gathering, cleaning and transforming techniques
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Reporting and data visualization skills using Power BI or preferred software
  • Ability to set and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in high-pressure situations
  • Ability to QA and troubleshoot data
  • Technical writing skills
